A relocation day which included a visit to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. That is quite a mouth full. It is of interest because it is one of two places that the US Government flies the 15 star, 15 stripe flag. The other is Fort Clatsop in Oregon where Lewis and Clark wintered in 1805-1806. We volunteered there for five years

The grounds were open, but nothing else was. We walked around the fort and had a few conversations with the rangers who were lurking about. The weather was cold and windy. It is said to be the largest collection of Rodman guns (cannons) anywhere. From there we went on to visit and stay with another graduate school friend in Fort Washington, MD.
