Composite image of Super Moon moonrise at Norah Head Lighthouse on 27th April 2021.
Have you ever planned an event but when you get there, there are photographers there getting in each others way to get the best shot. Well today was one of those days. I had planned to be much further back than where I was located so I could use a long telephoto so the moon would appear larger in the image compared to the lighthouse. Today was not the day to get way back and have lots of togs in front of you. So I went down to a spot where I could fit in the lighthouse but to create the final image, had to do a lens swap to get a larger image of the moon. So yes this is a composite image.
This lighthouse was selected as it is photogenic looking from the west to east. Bush is too close to the lighthouse to use a 600mm FFE focal length lens.
