Pets are important to us. Friends of mine had a pig and they are intelligent creatures, full of emotions.

That is an expensive pig. I hope he died naturally.

Ah, King Neptune, he did love to hog the limelight even though there were those who would say that he was a bit of a boar. He cared not a sausage for such offal opinions, though. King Neptune was always as happy as a pig in mud, especially when he was in mud, and always liked to chew the fat rather than the other way around. As you can see from his war bond tally he always brought home the bacon, right up to the time that he was brought home AS bacon. But in all that time, he never once fell to the level of pork barrelling. Rest in peace, you fine swine, you served the Navy well. (And awful puns aside, he was doubtless worthy of this plaque.)

The world's most expensive bacon! But I'm sure he was well taken care of. And the dineros went to support WWII, great idea

That was some pig! It was pampered! For 19 million dollars? No wonder he was a King! V
