Food for thought

The restaurant trade has been particularly badly hit due to the pandemic restrictions.
Many of them have turned to offering meal kits, food boxes and takeaways in a bid to stay in business.

This is such powerful photography!
For me he epitomizes the strength that is called for during this time.
Hopefully this ends soon and that all of the folks can hold out until that time and save their businesses
for their families and futures.
Big vote for your fine work.

A drink and hand sanitizer...doesn't that say it all. V

As Alan says, back to normal...however still restrictions and QR checkins with distances to be maintained...

One day it will end...we have lived through possibly the easiest of any half century in the past 50 years, maybe it's right that a little bad happened to us for a change.

Mmm, I like a glass of that on the rocks.
The guy with his arms folded behind, with nothing to do and nobody to serve, is a nice bit of photojournalism.
The restaurant trade here did something similar during the lockdowns. However with a near zero case load here and restrictions almost completely lifted, most LOCALLY BASED restaurants are pretty much back to normal. Some in regional travel destinations are doing even better than before as long distance travel is swapped for shorter getaways. The ones that are still really feeling it are the ones that relied on the tourist trade, especially international tourism. That includes ones in states where the state premiers lose their guano and impose lightning lockdowns as soon as a single case rears its head, hello Queensland I'm looking at you in particular. Nobody in their right mind will book an interstate holiday at the moment in case they get caught in a lockdown (except maybe to NSW, which is least prone to overreaction but still does so occasionally), and it's the hospitality businesses that suffer. With Astra Zenica now off the table for large chunks of the population, one can only ask "Is this ever frapping going to end??"

the man's stance seems to sum up the mood...a clever shot..

Very well composed with this depth of field and choice of tones. "V"
Possibly 1/3 of the restaurants here have or will go under. We rely too much on tourism.

Adapt and hopefully overcome. Nice photo of the times.
