Izakaya

Kichijoji, Tokyo

This is an old, traditional and very small izakaya in our town.
Hidden in an area of narrow alleys and small bars.
You sit on the floor, on tatami mats, and eat and drink around low tables.
The menu is written on papers pinned to the wall. Fun place to be.

Do they help the old geezers like me get back up?

It looks fascinating. Not so sure about sitting on the floor though. V

I see there is a picture of a beer on the fridge, so I would be alright. V

I'd need to do a looooot of yoga to be able to sit on the floor like that these days. And learn to read Japanese. Regardless, I like the atmosphere that you've captured here.

It does look like a fun place to go and I bet the food is great and not expensive. Really like both of your images. Very nice high iso result. "V"
