TAM, Temora, NSW, Australia view map

RAAF Centenary Airshow by Temora Aviation Museum, March 6th 2021

Image taken on the Friday before the event when landing after the flight from HARS at Illawarra Regional Airport

This aircraft owned and operated by Historical Aircraft Restoration Society. They overhauled and restored to WW2 military specification. Of significance is the new front machine gun turret that was recently installed. The original Catalinas from WW2 operated by RAAF were water based only and the amphibious versions were produced later in production.
Australian Rego: VH-PBZ
Repainted as A24-362 OX-V "Felix" as in Felix the black cat operated by RAAF 43 Squadron. Felix was a cartoon character, a cheeky black cat from 1919 in silent film technology times. Felix originated from the studio of Australian cartoonist/film entrepreneur Pat Sullivan.
