...as Dave might tell you...it is hard to shoot snow...I tried low angle, high angle, close up and wide angle, here and there all over this trip...this stuff is damned hard to shoot...lol

These are also good conditions in which to shoot 3 to 5 shots for hdr. You don't need to produce an hdr, but one of the exposures will look better than the others.
Then a bit of post process can fix it up.

I think you've produced a good result. Did you use exposure compensation? Normally, I like such shots to be pristine. Here, the footsteps tell a story. Glad you and your suit survived this. I'm not sure what nickname Mr. Guest has in mind.
