As we come to close to the end of this gallery and a full year of my documenting the COVID pandemic from my POV, today marks the start of Week #54 of our “Safer-at-Home” story that really started weeks before I first began to keep a photo diary.

There are at least 8,525 cases of novel coronavirus in the United States, according to the state and local health agencies, governments and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In total, 145 people have died.
Mild, asymptomatic or otherwise unrecognized infections may have driven the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus in the outbreak’s earliest days, according to modeling published Monday in the journal Science. About 4 in 5 people confirmed to have coronavirus were likely infected by people who didn’t know they had it.

Total Deaths 535,217
“AMC Theatres said it will have 98% of its U.S. theaters open by Friday.”
“Michigan's COVID-19 case rate is up 50% from the February low.”
“CDC data shows 66% of US adults age 65 and older have received at least one shot of Covid-19 vaccine.”
However, the two big cities in Missouri fall notably short of that statistic. News today: “KCMO vaccination rate climbs to 18.5%”. This is an improvement over how low it has been.
“Parson said with all phases of Missouri's Vaccination Plan activated, approximately 4.5 million Missourians will be eligible. The state estimates that over 40% of these Missourians are not interested in getting a vaccine.”
“Pandemic air travel just hit its biggest week, according to TSA data.”
Now the question is whether this surge in travel will lead to a surge of the virus.

Above is a very odd Amaryllis bloom.
It seems to be ready to open before it has produced a flower stack. This is most unusual. I’ve never seen an Amaryllis do this before. As the days pass, we’ll see what really happens with the flowers.
