Road trip

We had a welcome road trip this morning as my husband, who has underlying health issues, had to travel to Dublin to get his first dose
of the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Unfortunately the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine programme is going slower than expected, due to supply issues.
I have no idea when I'll get my vaccine even though I am technically his carer.
We stopped for a takeaway coffee on the way home and also nipped into a big DIY store.

Nicely focused image. Had my first jab over the weekend. Hopefully you get yours soon.

As the others have said, the colour contrast is really well done. Best wishes to you Mairead, hope you get your jab soon....

My travel mate back in 2014 and I stopped for Costa coffee at one of the roadsides...have to agree with Alan, I wasn't a fan, though I put it a level higher than Starbucks :(

Love your photo, hope you had a good dinner last night for MR J and best wishes for a successful jab.

I like the presentation and the clarity. It would make a good ad for coffee on the go. Glad your hubby gets his first shot. I got both of mine earlier this year (health issues) but my husband is younger and healthier so hasn't . BUT, I did finally find a shot for him - and he has an appointment for this coming Monday the 15th.

I love the way this photo of an ordinary object works so well. The red and the different blues are so good together. Glad your husband got his first shot. We are due for our second on in about a week and a half. Stay well!

Don't worry, if you can survive Costa Coffee, The Bug has NO chance of killing you. The last time I had a cup of that muck was in Dubai airport when I felt that the flight between Australia and Europa was going to kill me. By the end of the cup I knew that I could survive anything. Except maybe another Qantas flight vis Singapore.
The red makes for a nice contrast against all of the blue, which is the best thing a Costa Coffee has done in years.
On the bright side, the studies that I've seen articles about suggest even the first shot provides significant protection.

Good to hear that your husband got his shot. Hope you get yours soon. We're still waiting for ours.
Cool photo.

Any trip these days is an event! Great shot of the coffee cup looking like a beacon or herald, perhaps of, as David notes, the Costa Brava! V

not quite the Costa Brava, but right now any trip would be exciting...cool shot making the coffee seem a trophy from abroad..
