Happy International Women's Day to all the wonderful female Pbasers and the men who support them.
I have always considered myself a feminist and have considered myself lucky that the trail-blazers of the Women's Movement in the '70s did so much to secure equal rights for women.
However, women still often earn less pay, have less opportunity for promotion, do more of the childcare and household chores at home, are at greater risk of being subjected to violence and sexual abuse.
It's important to remember that in many countries women don't enjoy the rights that we do and to fight to preserve our hard won equality and safe spaces.
