First Light

A great snowpack in the Olympics this year, over 100%
The winter 2014-15 had an official snow pack of 0.00%
Some of my trees never recovered from the drought.
As I type this a piece of one of them warms my house in the wood stove.
Is it the circle of life or easy come, easy go?
In the words of Forrest Gump… “Maybe it’s a little bit of both.”

I know the feeling of loss due to drought...at least your trees are helping to warm you. I wonder will that sun melt the mountain. V

What a stunning shot this is!!! I really miss the mountains of the west. Glad to hear you have a good snowpack this year, which should give some relief later in the year. V

Beautiful view. Love the warm lighting on the mountain. Snow pack here is at 60% which means drought conditions, unless we get more precipitation. "V"

Good. I'm sure the moisture was appreciated.
