No such thing as too much fencing for Congress

Taken from the rear of the three oldest House office buildings: Longworth, Rayburn and Cannon, which all front on the now-closed Independence Avenue SW.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

One of the last, posted earlier:

Is there any chance that this will be removed in the future? I would not want to live in such city.

Not sure if this will end. Guessing not anytime soon.

Stunning, almost looks like a huge prison. We have to solve the problems that made the fence necessary.

With Trump whipping things up at CPAC, the fencing unfortunately isn’t probably going anywhere.

That should work against the rioters. Now all we have to do is figure out how to keep some of the Congressional Representatives out.

Is Independence Ave closed for good?? Certainly a different feel for your city now, and one that may be a change for the long term. But I hope not for the sake of everyone who lives there.

No such thing as too much for our professional politicians.

Great shot, sadly the fencing is likely here to stay, just like the enhanced security at the airports.

The fence seems unneccesary given that sturdy wall behind it.

Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters would be sad to see all those fences. V
