159} Water Dragon with a Cicada

Author -Patricia Smith

Judges Comments

Nice tight crop capturing the action of the circle of life. The main character is nice and sharp and well as is it’s lunch. This image feels a little washed out and lacking in contrast i.e. white whites and black backs.
This is very easily corrected in post. There is some fringing occurring on the top of the lizards head. This has probably been introduced in the editing process. The background although out of focus appears
unnatural i.e. in colour and shape of the bokeh and therefore makes the overall image feel composited. This may be associated with the editing process in which case it can be softened to better connect the lizard
to it’s environment. Nice tight crop capturing the action of the circle of life. The main character is nice and sharp and well as is it’s lunch. This image feels a little washed out and lacking in contrast i.e. white whites
