High technical competence and prowess of light and exposure management which has further rewarded the photographer with an enticing colour palette. The highlights are well managed and
the shadows are overall providing sufficient detail. Capturing the dynamic range in a scene like this can be tough and can mean compromising shadows in order to secure well exposed highlights.
To further improve this exceptional image would be to bracket your exposure so as to achieve a wider dynamic range in the shadows. From a composition perspective, higher ground would of
provided further separation between the shore in the foreground and the rock in the background. The shadow cast on the water between the shore and the background is unfortunate.
Had that area been bright as per the water on either side, it may of provided much needed separation between the two. Look throughout your composition i.e. foreground, middle
ground and background to assess and troubleshoot these issues. Could a different perspective i.e. higher ground, if this was indeed an option, further strengthened the composition?
