Crisp, sharp, well exposed, not over processed, technically highly competent and executed image. The tight crop focuses the attention on this beautiful animal’s characteristics, it’s almost human
gaze. It feels like this image sits in the realm of portrait rather than nature i.e. nature typically is about something the animal is doing that is typical to it’s behaviour/habitat etc. The eating ‘action’
is not strong enough in this captured moment and therefore renders the green leaf in his mouth a little distracting. If his hand had been up to his mouth it would feel more like an eating image.
Well done, the eyes are mesmerising.
