Squeeze in a read

It's national reading day and Libraries Ireland are urging people to
'Squeeze in a read'.
I'm currently reading this novel by Dundalk-born author and oncologist Austin Duffy.
It's an impressive follow-up to his debut published five years go but unfortunately I didn't manage to squeeze in any pages today as I
ended up having a long phone conversation with a friend this evening.

I second Walter's comment...there's few things better in life than a good read and a good strong cuppa :o)

This is like taking a perfect day and turning it into a single photograph!
I hope you get much joy from this literary work.

Very nicely arranged and photographed. It should be National Reading Day every day. That might improve things a bit. "V"

A nicely arranged photo. The tea looks good - maybe chai? V

A fine composition that took me a second to realize what I was looking at. V.

a good book and a warm cuppa is always a safe bet...your overhead view mines the graphic possibilities so adroitly.

I love your composition, the book, the book cover, the pretty tea cup.... I hadn't realized it is national reading day, but glad to hear it! I read tons of books every year, am compulsive about it, need to read! V

I'm finding that I'm reading less and less these days and listening to audiobooks more and more. I spend far too much time looking at a screen at close range, so spending yet more time at close focus means that rather than the glasses shown here I would need binoculars, even on a Kindle with variable type size. Even with The Economist, I prefer to listen to the articles than read them these days, though audio does tend to be far less photogenic than a good book.

Everything in that shot looks so inviting. Lovely work.
