Effects of Brexit!

at home

Daughter sends me a box of teabags, cost in U.K. around £3 (3.48€)
Mail from delivery company tells me I owe 9€ (£7.73) to cover taxes and admin in France,
if not paid by March 5th parcel will be returned to sender

The image shows customs value of teabags - 22.58€ (£19.39)

When I order stuff at work from Germany what used to take two days is now taking a week to clear customs. The paperwork is a nightmare!

That is crazy!! I think, like Walter, that this is only going to get worse. I love Typhoo tea and we are (usually) able to get it here, but thank goodness we don't have that additional charge.

Outrageous! Let the tea bags go back to the UK. Sure you might be able to get some teas that taste good in France. I prefer Tetley but found Trader Joe's to be good...if not quite similar.

Sorry Chris, but I did the best I could to help in June 2016, but I was outvoted.

I suggest you get your Sunday best on and bring out the posh crockery....
