How can this happen in the richest country in the world? Great shot.

Fabulous photo. V
But depressing information about giving up on the buildings. But I guess that's better than putting firefighters at risk for a lost cause.

Have never seen that designation before. I guess they still need to respond to make sure no one has gotten inside and to save surrounding structures, so not sure what the practical difference is.

Stunning perspective, Julie!

Great perspective. Like the grittiness of this scene. The sign for the Fire Department is sobering. "V"

I learn something every day. But I also forget something every day :-(

Wow, I didn't know they actively marked the building. I understand the rational, as long as there aren't homeless people squatting there. Sad state of affairs. I just LOVE the colors and your portrait format. V

This takes me by surprise. Hard to comprehend....
John Hamers23-Feb-2021 08:38
Great perspective and beautiful color contrast. And they also don't care about the buildings adjacent to this one? !!V
Helen Betts23-Feb-2021 04:44
I've never heard of a building marked not worth saving. Well spotted and captured. V.

passed it's sell-by date then, like so much these days..sure seems closed up too, and people walk right on by...somehow the colours are appealing if not the state of the place..
