In a State where there has never been a Statewide mask mandate nor any gathering restrictions, the two big cities, Kansas City and St Louis have fortunately been allowed to set their own rules to protect their residents. Until now, that has helped to control the spread of COVID.
Today, Mayor Quinton Lucas of Kansas City has announced updated health guidelines. Lucas said restaurants and bars may resume regular hours, no longer needing to close in-person service at midnight. The City will no longer require events to submit health plans to the health department. There will be no restrictions to gathering sizes. St Louis is doing likewise. That now makes Missouri a wide open state.
Today, COVID hospitalizations in Kansas City have ALSO again started to creep up. This is happening even before any restrictions have been lifted. These hospitalization numbers starting to go back up also preceeds the UK COVID mutation (considered both more contagious and deadly) becoming more widespread.
Despite states across the US reducing their pandemic restrictions, more dangerous and much more communicable mutations of COVID are predicted to overtake the wild Wuhan strain in the US by March. Frankly, now seems to be a strange time to be lifting restrictions & thus aide the virus in its ability to flourish. Shouldn't the goal be limiting transmission until the majority of the population can be vaccinated?
Meanwhile, this weekend, there will be a Mardi Gras Pub Crawl - Lake of the Ozarks
WHERE: Multiple Venues in the Lake Area (17 Confirmed to date)
Rather than just one single day, the 2021 Lake Pub Crawl will take place over three days - February 19, 20, & 21@ 4 p.m. - 2 a.m.
No gathering size restrictions
So if you see people crowded together wildly partying in Missouri (like last Summer) on your nightly TV news, it has been deemed to be okay in Missouri.
As COVID case numbers have been dropping, the state seems to setting the scene to get COVID levels back up… Meanwhile, COVID vaccinations have fallen way behind. Vaccinations were not given in the state this week.

The supplement in the above photo won’t protect against the pandemic, but it’s still good for a lot of things: like heart, skin, eyes, asthma, lower blood pressure etc. And maybe help lessen depression, dementia, and arthritis. Unlike supposed “burpless” Fish Oil & and even other Krill Oil supplements, this particular brand of Omega 3 Krill Oil seems to be the best of the bunch. I've tried several others over the years. However, I couldn't get through an entire bottle of any of the others.
Omega Red Krill Oil has absolutely no after taste nor burps. This is a big motivation for someone to take the supplement; rather than just look at it in a cabinet. I've been a fan for 4 years now.
Fish, avocados, and nuts are also good sources for Omega 3 fatty acids. Those are also in my diet.
