on a lark

Maple Ridge

on a lark you can wend your way further east to Alouette Lake, a bit deeper into the Garibaldi Ranges...the lake sits, ever so still amid forested mountains, in Golden Ears Park

to clarify, alouette is French for lark, and the title of a well known Quebecois song about plucking a lark for dinner, as Voyageurs used to do
