Croton Peak

Big Bend National Park, Texas

Croton Peak is located two miles north of Croton Spring and east of Slickrock Mountain and it is the highest point in the Paint Gap Hills area.
There is a primitive camping location out there. I was distracted by the balancing rocks on the mountain and it would drive me
crazy if we camped there for any length of time. LOL

What an interesting formation. I don't think I'd want to sleep below it!

highest for the moment, as it seems to be crumbling...better to camp a bit away from it, and just worry about the scorpions and rattlesnakes..

Remarkable peak and not the most convenient place to camp. !V

Nice view of this peak and balancing act. I wouldn't camp there even without the mountain. "V"
