Glimpses of Gluepot

Gluepot Reserve is in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia.
To access Gluepot Reserve means driving over an hour on dirt roads north
of Waikerie in the riverland of SA, through private farmland/stations.
Opening/closing of numerous gates. Sharing roads with wandering cattle.
Gluepot itself is a huge patch of mallee. We camp a night or two in our
station wagon. Visit various bird hides that have been set up with watering
stations and enjoy the various feathered visitors. The red dirt, the blue
skies, balmy breezes and a fragrance in the air I could only describe as a
blend of honey and pine. Remote and peaceful, It is a happy place for sure!

Enjoy these few glimpses of Gluepot from our recent trip. ~ Cheryl Ridge
