I would have sworn it was train tracks but I was puzzled by the very large paddle like thing laying across the tracks.
It takes close study to make the discovery so brilliant work on your part.

Well, count me along Fong and Alan. I thought I was looking at railway tracks until I focussed on the hammers. I then re-evaluated the whole scene. Nice eye. V

It took me a minute to realise what I was looking at there; ebony and icery.

(I noticed one comment below mentioned "snow covered tracks"; to be honest that was my first impression as well.)
