unlikely

Marpole

these are some of the many concrete pipes produced at the cement factory, for eventual use underground...yet another local scene unlikely to appear on postcards anytime soon

Lovely rich & dark tones, LOL at your narrative :o)

Perfect tones for this industrial scene. V

Like the tones and lighting and the abundant selection of pipes. Perhaps you can put a Magritte spin on your post card and title it: "These are not pipes". "V"

It is brooding and borders on apocalyptic. VVV

A fine capture of this site from this vantage point. Great vintage look by that warm light !V

Not a postcard for sure but a perfect location for a modern post-industrial movie ! Nice processing work. V.

Interesting scenes! My first hard hat job was working in a pipe factory. I was only there long enough to know how all this worked and how it's done. A real dead end job but, thankfully, got laid off. It is an interesting process and a lot more going on than you realize. I did leave with a curiosity of concrete technology that served me well later.

Love the Blade Runner/Road Warrior feel to this. V!

Perhaps not postcard worthy, but give a good feel for Vancouver's industrial sector.
Jeff Real19-Jan-2021 00:22
I would buy this postcard and show it to my friends and say look where I got to go!
Such dramatic imagery should be celebrated!

I like this. The warm light the repeating forms and the good composition make it an appealing image. V

But, as look at some of the older postcards I have - they are industry based...you could be onto a revival.
Mairéad18-Jan-2021 21:42
Not postcard pretty but I like the tones and the composition. V
Helen Betts18-Jan-2021 20:27
