Essential caffeine fix

I had to go into town yesterday to pick up a 'click and collect' order.
I took a walk around the town centre.
Only essential retail, food shops, pharmacies, hardware and electrical stores can remain open under our Level 5 Lockdown.
Coffee shops and restaurants can operate as takeaways so these men,
while social distancing, shouldn't really be gathered outside this coffee shop.

Despite the virus, no social distancing and only two men are wearing masks. I can not understand the recklessness and lack of discipline.

We have a lot of careless people too. I don't get it. I like the photo, the red canvas and bike are the real stars. :) V

I think it’s the indifference that bothers me most. The last thing I would do is drink with that lid on...how many hands have touched it and others 😒

perhaps it is the need to socialize that is manifesting here...seems you can get the esssentials still, which is positive...so much of what we buy is not really needed..good catch of the lockdown in action, or almost in actiion..

So good to frequent these local shops and give them some business that they so need. It is so hard to resist the temptation to chat a bit with others in this coffee house atmosphere. V

There will always be somebody to break the rules, sadly. I was taking a news quiz the other day, and one question wanted to know which country in Europe had been the best in the world in terms of COVID but was now the worst. Thanks to your excellent pictures and narratives, I knew the answer immediately.
