If you did not know, objects with small holes can project images of the Sun. so here a fellow eclipse chaser in our greater group (sorry I did not get his name) holds a colander so I could take a picture of the solar crescents it projected.
Also notice the Sharp edge of the shadow of the colander on the bottom edge, and the fuzzy one on the top edge. The fuzzy edge occurs when the light of the two horns of the crescent converge and create a fuzzy line, as opposed to the unbroken side of the Sun's image.
