Top image: The owl had caught a vole/mouse. Here it seems to be hiding its catch whilst giving us three photographers a hasty look.


In its haste, it dropped the vole/mouse.


The owl immediately went after the now dead vole and, as they often do, it covered its catch to hide it whilst checking out its surroundings.


The owl then flew up to a branch with the vole in its beak and gives us another furtive look.


It next flew to a higher perch and enjoyed its meal, after which it bid us goodnight.


Then, the owl went to sleep and I went home as requested LOL
