Hartland Quay

The cliffs at Hartland Quay in North Devon display a spectacularly folded sequence of alternating grey shales and sandstones known as the Crackington Formation that was deposited in the Carboniferous period approximately 320 million years ago

I have lovely memories of a great day in September 2014

That's really most unusual, looks manmade despite being natural.

Geology is such a fascinating subject. I was fortunate enough to work alongside a geologist and I learnt so much chatting to him.
