Historic Port Albert, established in 1841, is one of Victoria's oldest seaports. It is now merely a quiet collection of a few lasting Georgian and Victorian buildings, one hotel, one cafe and a general store. Holiday houses and permanent homes dot the streets and an overnight campground accommodates passing travellers. It is a popular place for fishermen with a small safe harbour.
