Contactless

I've decided to opt for click and collect grocery shopping as I no longer
feel safe going into supermarkets for a big weekly shop.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Ireland is now extremely worrying.
We have gone from being one of the best in Europe to the worst in the world.
One in 45 people in Co Louth tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days and the county has the second highest incidence rate in the country.
Sadly, even as the numbers of COVID-19 patients in hospitals and ICU, and the numbers of deaths increase, people still don't seem to be taking public health guidelines seriously.
In the past week, I saw customers walking around a supermarket with no masks, while no efforts were made to control the numbers in another.
It was as though with all other retail closed, people decided that going to the supermarket counted as family entertainment, with whole families, couples, mothers and daughters, siblings, ambling through the aisles at their leisure.
On both occasions, I left the store as soon as I could, and won't be going back until the situation has improved.

It's such a sad indictment of our times - I still go to the supermarket but only fortnightly now, and even then I get in and out as quickly as I can...strange and depressing times

Sorry to hear things are so bad in your area. I simply can't understand why people refuse to take this seriously. It's the same in this country, although luckily people in DC seem a bit more responsible than most.
