My crampons arrived, so I ventured up to Auchterhouse to try them out.
The icy paths were no problem: I stayed on my feet while all around me were falling.
Most of the snow seems to have gone, yet the paths remain solidly iced.
I didn't have much time, so, work permitting, I will head on up again tomorrow.
Hopefully, the weather will be not so fine: I'm not looking for blue skies.
Some snow would be a bit of a bonus, too.
This was taken from the viewing point about one-quarter of the way up.
It is almost directly south over Dundee, the Tay and on to the Lomond Hills of Fife.
