Heavy Hearts
We had to say goodbye to our beloved Murphy, today. Over the past month, we noticed some scabbing and thickening which we thought were just related to the healing process. Over the past few weeks, the thickening got worse and showed some signs of redness and infection. A trip to our regular vet brought pain and antibiotic medication, and a recommendation for a follow-up visit with the surgeon. That visit was today and brought the news we dreaded, but expected.
Not wanting Murphy to undergo any further surgeries and chemo, or to suffer any longer with this horrible disease, we decided it was best to say goodbye. He is in a better place now. We are happy we were able to give him a loving home for 10+ years. Thank you for all the loving support you have given us through your comments and private messages. It really meant a lot.
I guess I didn't effectively depict my mood with yesterday’s shot. My emotions were all over the place.
