Winter Solstice

Started raining in the early morning. By sunrise it was a hard rain.
Until mid afternoon it varied between water the lawn to peal the paint off.
Then it slowly switched to snow. Big puffy flakes that accumulated fast.
Then it switched back to rain. The skies cleared after sunset to show off the stars
The temperature dropped quickly and by morning there will be ice on everything.
Have to have winter to have spring.

Have to say something upbeat but the reality is it really sucks!
It is a self solving problem! The days get longer from here.
Spring will come…. sometime in June! (aka: Forever)

And a Happy Winter Solstice to you too. Like the fact that the days are getting longer again and warmer too some time in the future.

A lovely capture of the snowflakes. I like to visit snow country and not live in it. V

Love your shot - my grandparents used to sell milk in jugs like that. BV
You should see how much snow we got :( Luckily my daughter-in-law is here and she's into keeping fit :)

Those fat flakes look familiar! Usually by this time we have a lot of snow, but not this year, which I find sad because I like winter! I like spring too, and it will come. V
