This image is of a small saddle area off Trail Ridge Road. The winter winds have stripped the bark off dead trees and caused the living trees to grow in a corkscrew manner so the branches are all down wind. I did a B&W calendar in 1999 of this location including the B&W image of this positive. The Ektachrome original has shifted towards green over the years, this was somewhat corrected in photoshop as best I could being color blind to green/gold colors.
