Lighting Candles

and telling stories of family history is such an important,
vital even. way to build family ties, to remember what's important to us.
Happy Hanukkah celebrations to my Jewish Friends.

“The proper response, as Hanukkah teaches, is not to
curse the darkness but to light a candle.”
—Rabbi Irving Greenberg

“A candle is a small thing. But one candle can light another.
And see how its own light increases, as a candle gives its flame to the other.
You are such a light.” —Moshe Davis

“Look at how a single candle can both defy and define the darkness.”
—Anne Frank

(Nearly set the place on fire making this composition;
I lit the candles before I put the scarf in place as a backdrop.
Whew! Prayer is effective! All is well!)
