A color infrared shot of Main Street in medicine Park, Oklahoma.
This town is situated in the Wichita Mountains near the entrance to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
These cobblestone cottages hosted many famous and infamous folks such as Will Rogers, Wiley Post, Frank Phillips, Al Capone, Bonnie and Clyde,
Pretty Boy Floyd, Lil Hardin Armstrong, Colonel Jack Abernathy, Les Brown, Roy Rogers, and Dale Evans.
President Theodore Roosevelt fell in love with the area and established the wildlife refuge.
The town was booming again before the pandemic with bars, restaurants, shops, musicians and medicine creek filled with swimmers
just as it was when it was know as the Jewel of the Southwest one hundred years ago.
