Tiger's Nest Monastery, Paro Valley, Bhutan

Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) monastery, Bhutan's single most notable landmark, was founded in the 17th century by a holy man who is said to have arrived astride a flying tiger. The main building was rebuilt after a 1998 fire.
