McGavock Confederate Cemetery

Franklin, TN

1496 men who dies for the Confederacy are buried in a cemetery set aside by. the McGavock family, whose ancestral home was Carnto, which I will show you next. I was shooting earlier in the week with the Leica but decided to come back with the Canon at a different time of day. this maple tree must be nearly 200 years old...Hand-held, of course...

Wonderful composition, Michael. The light through the tree adds drama and dimension to this wonderful photographs. A fitting tribute to those who lie in the cemetery.
