November 4

Studio Diner

It gets its name because it is located on the lot of an old movie and TV studio.

This restaurant has been closed since March. One of hundreds in the city. Many will not re-open.

The decor here is something else...just noticed the filmstrip across the top. Super processing Walter, adds to the feeling of melancholy which this composition suggests

It's probably just the beginning. I love this shot, something to help us remember the past.
globalgadabout05-Nov-2020 00:48
a carefully aligned shot...there is a hint of Airstream in the design, and those doors to evoke an era by themselves...pity for lost jobs, but customers might be healthier without shakes, burgers, and fries..

It certainly is a sad time for such businesses. Good photo journalism.

That filmstrip is so cool.
Such a tragedy that so many businesses and individuals are hurt by the pandemic.

Looks to have been a great spot (and shot to show its state of loss) to chat over a few cups of Joe...hopefully those days will return.
