Is that small boat captain really so incredibly stupid that he thinks the big boat captain will swing his boat about to miss him

Normally a powered boat has to give way to a boat powered by sail.
But a boat that size carefully steering its way through a narrow channel, is no way
going to run aground to avoid that tiny sailing boat.
I am quite pleased with this shot, they were miles away and it was hazy, normal for a shot across the sea.

Eldar, I can see one slight problem with that point of view. Can you imagine the CEO of Hyundai in such such a small cheap boat as that one.

John, sail boat captain is not stupid at all. Once Hyundai boat captain recognizes that Hyundai CEO is aboard of sail boat, he will yield right of way

Ian, there is something a bit weird about some sailboat captains.

I had a similar experience in Auckland while on a cruise. The ship was leaving Auckland harbour in the middle of a yacht race and at the yacht captains were upset that the cruise ship did not give-away.
