“World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said exposing people to the virus to achieve herd immunity is "not an option." ‘Allowing a dangerous virus that we don't fully understand to run free is simply unethical,” Tedros said, adding that herd immunity is a “concept used for vaccination.’”

NOTE: After being a leading member country for 72 years - since the WHO’s origin in 1948, Trump (the current US president) broke the USA’s ties with the World Health Organization in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. In contrast to the beliefs of WHO and most doctors & most scientists, Trump’s new health advisor Scott Atlas - neither an epidemiologist nor an infectious disease expert – also has suggested the virus should be allowed to spread through the US population "so that people build up immunity, rather than trying to contain it". He has said the USA does not need a vaccine nor for people to social isolate or nor for people to wear a mask. Who's right? I know what I believe.

Today October 12 is "National Pizza with the Works - except Anchovies - Day".

From the ultimate calendar of pizza holidays in 2020:
“If you count yourself among the 75% of pizza lovers who want nothing to do with these diminutive fish, then this is the day for you. If you’re in the not-so-miniscule minority, you have our blessing to go ahead and get your pizza with anchovies anyway. Might as well gobble them up before they go extinct.”

I like anchovies on a Caesar Salad, but not on a pizza. My husband likes them on pizza, but we still never get a shared pizza with anchovies. Pepperoni is my favorite.
