ASEMIC WRITING 2

On a beach log canvas,
beetles, insects, inscribe histories, tell tales
of who they are, where they’ve been, where they’re headed,
sources of the juiciest food,
and how to burrow a cozy home.

How to live a good life,
how to live the moral code of insect behavior,
how to impress a prospective mate,
how to wiggle, strut, and celebrate.

Their secrets shared for all to see.
Or maybe it’s something else entirely.

Fascinating image and thoughtful words to accompany it. I thought at first it looked like a reflection of tree roots.

Well seen!! Very fascinating image and explanation! To me this looks like upside down roots of a tree or something similar. I really like the design made from this natural log!!
