Part of the gallery: Vancouver Mural Festival

The “Present is a Gift” is a play on words to bring awareness to the
present moment: to live in the now. These portraits are of two people
that live in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Vancouver where this
mural stands. Paisley is a Coast-Salish First Nations girl, she was born
and grew up in this neighborhood and Dr. Bob is an optometrist who
has been practicing here for over six decades. A celebration and a
bridge between the present and the past.

Thank you for providing a description for the dual murals. I also like the juxtaposition of the coffee truck, giving this an extra 'present' feel.

They are beautiful murals. True works of art and your words/meaning of them make a lot of sense. It’s hard though, tough even. BV
