Coniston Water

...at the north end of the lake. the third-largest lake in the Lake District by volume (after Windermere and Ullswater).
Five miles long by half a mile wide (8 km by 800 m), wuth a maximum depth of 184 feet (56 m).
Coniston Water was the scene of many attempts to break the world water speed record, most notably by
Sir Malcolm Campbell and later by his son Donald Campbell.
