John has solved the riddle. Its an XKSS, presumably a replica as there were only 16 built.

After a bit of surfing, the E type was first released in 61, so I was wrong on the year. The wings are big. With the amount of after market body kits around I could not be certain, but I still think its an E type. Definitely not a D, whatever it is.

I thought the wings looked a bit to bulbous for an E Type.

E type. Early one though, possibly late 50's.

OK Bob, so what is it.

E type. The D had an aerofoil fin behind the driver. you would not be able to see the driver from the rear.
