Het hardstenen beeld van 't Mooswief, de groentevrouw, is gemaakt door Charles Vos (1888-1954). Het beeld
is in 1954 op de Markt in Maastricht geplaatst. Het staat hier nog steeds.Het Mooswief is een standbeeld ter
ere van de marktvrouwen die vanuit de omgeving naar Maastricht kwamen dorpen met hun verse groenten.
Dit beeld symboliseert ook de carnavalsvreugde van Maastricht.
