Donald joined Ganges as a Lt. Cdr. in the Spring of 1948. He was a Divisional Officer till January 1950 when he left for training at the Tactical College, Woolwich before taking up the appointment of Senior Officer X-Craft. He sadly died in 1961, his ashes were buried at sea from submarine HMS Thule.
