My neighbor handed me a bunch of these off his tree. They are Asian Pears (According to Wikipedia they also go by the names Japanese Pear, Chinese Pear, Korean Pear, Taiwanese Pear, Apple Pear, Zodiac Pear, Three-halves Pear, Papple, and Sand Pear)
Pretty tasty.
