The catholic Mozes-en Aäron Kerk (1837-1841) stands on the Waterlooplein, a huge daily flea market, selling second-hand clothes and furniture, ethnic jewellery and fabric. It was built on the site of two Jewish houses, hence its name which is most unusual for a Roman Catholic church.
