I’m not sure who put on this Labor Day weekend display. We could see most of the fireworks from our patio door; plus hear the cheering of a crowd in the relatively close distance. Over the years, our trees have grown pretty tall. So, the blasts had to be fairly big to clear the treetops.
Because this was an unexpected event, I merely used my little Bridge camera (which had a card in it). I shot handheld & just hoped for the best. Seeing a live fireworks display was a pleasant diversion from the everyday during this time of Stay-at-Home isolation.

Sunday US COVID Update
“Coronavirus cases are rising in 22 of the 50 U.S. states: a worrisome trend on a Labor Day holiday weekend traditionally filled with family gatherings and parties to mark the end of summer. The United States is going into the Labor Day holiday weekend with a current average of 44,000 new cases a day — double the number ahead of the May 23-25 Memorial Day weekend.
Many health experts partly blame the July spike on social gatherings held around Memorial Day. That would indicate a possible Labor Day caused spike could come before Halloween.
Currently, the United States continues to average about 1,000 new deaths from COVID-19 each day, with the total number of lives lost approaching 190,000 — the highest death toll in the world.
The government’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has said that it is crucial that the outbreak be contained before the cold weather sets in, when influenza cases are likely to spike alongside COVID-19 and more people begin to move indoors, increasing the risk of contagion.”
